Thanks, Brian! Here’s where the prompt took me.

Another setback.
I was recuperating beautifully and had my first physical therapy session on Tuesday. The therapist was very impressed with the appearance of my scar and my ability to move my fingers. My wrist was incredibly stiff …. something which came as no surprise. What did come as a huge surprise, however, was the fact that just one day after physical therapy, I am now unable to move one of my fingers …. a finger that was never compromised prior to surgery. When I try moving it, there’s a lot of pain. Something went very wrong between Tuesday and today. Did the therapist make an egregious error by working me too hard on the first day? Did I make an egregious mistake by not telling her to take it easy? Was my judgement terribly off by doing the therapy exercises at home yesterday, as instructed?
I called the doctor to tell him what’s going on. I have an evaluation scheduled for Monday; in the meantime, he wants me splinted 24/7 and to take it easy. As disappointing and frustrating as this new development is, I can’t let it bring me down.

Bummer. I hope things improve, don’t remain so egregiously wrong / painful.
