Written for David’s Weave Written Weekly
where Christine asks us to write an alphabet
poem*. This is my first attempt and it was
great fun. Thanks Christine and David!
Here is my poem in exactly 26 words.

dark night,
queerly calm
as hazy shadows
veil eerie xeric zones,
where jaundiced ghouls
prey, lurking
behind ugly, icy relics
of fragile mist,
yearning
twilight’s kill
