Written for Living Poetry where our host,
Bartholomew, challenges us to write a poem
about a snowstorm. Here’s my response.

In the stillness of the night, snowflakes dance
A winter storm’s embrace, a chilling trance
Silent whispers of the wind, a lullaby
Blanketing the world in a white velvet sigh
Trees bow low beneath the weight of snow
Nature’s artwork, an effervescent glow
Footprints fade in the pristine, icy land
A winter storm’s beauty, so fiercely grand
As the storm rages on, a symphony of cold
Nature’s power and grace, a story most bold
In the heart of winter’s stormy might
We find peace in the beauty of the night
