Written for Esther’s Laughing Along
With A Limerick #267. The prompt
word is ‘crime’. This is my limerick.

There was a crook named Dingus Magee,
Whose crime was absurd as could be.
He spent all his loot
On a very fine flute
But he couldn’t even play “Do-re-mi”!

He managed to get “so-fa” – even though it should have been “fa-so”!

Try the recorder. It’s relatively easy and you can make real music.

Blech. I don’t like the sound of a recorder.
If I were crazy, I would go for the cello!

Yeah, you’d have to be crazy!

Dyngus Day is a Polish Holiday also called Wet Easter Monday and it is filled with romantic fun centered around water. Guys, on this day get to chase after the ladies with squirt guns, buckets, or other containers of water and wet them down, by sprinkling or drenching them with water. The ladies can strike back, getting their revenge tossing water back at the boys.

For this reason alone, I’m glad I’m not Polish! I can’t stand the idiots at the pool who think it’s great fun running around squirting people. It’s not fun at all; it’s freaking annoying and stupid.

It is a bad idea even if you think it is fun.

Classic Jackson 5 track Nancy. Much better than Julie Andrews et al!

Thanks, Esther! I cannot lie …. I got the name from an old western movie. It just sounded “right”.
