Translucent Sorrow

Written for Crispina’s Crimson’s Creative

. I chose Pic #3.
Here’s where the image took me.

The grass weeps pearls at dawn
each stem bears its burden
of translucent sorrow,
caught between earth and light.

How gentle this grieving is,
it’s sadness worn like jewels
on bare branches,
each drop a small, perfect ache
waiting for the sun
to lift it into air,
into memory,
into nothing at all.
