Written for RDP, where Punam asks us
to get creative with the word ‘wrap’.
Thanks Punam! Here’s my take.

It snowed heavily overnight in our neck of the woods;
this seemed appropriate.

Winter’s Gift
Soft flakes drift down in silence deep
While children dream in cozy sleep
The world turns white, a pristine sheet
Where earth and sky in stillness meet.
We wrap our gifts with ribbon bright
As snowdrifts wrap the world in white
The hearth glows warm, the candles gleam
And winter spins its frozen dream.
In every flake, a wonder falls
As holiday joy fills these halls
