City Shopping: A Cinquain

Written for Cinquain Poetry Prompt #29.
Our inspiration word is “strength”.
This is my ABA Mirror Cinquain.

Concrete
towers murmur
heartbeats of the hustle
shivering in the ice-slicked streets
slipping
sliding
wrapped around lampposts of neon
holiday lights blinking
like drowsy eyes
faces
strangers
dressed in twilight
strength against the cold wind
buildings reach for ebony skies
New York
