Written for “A Dawg’s Challenge 4 Ewe”
where Ernie has provided us with a bunch of
homonyms and invites us to get creative
using at least three of the sound-alike words.

I’m so excited! I’ll be walking down the aisle tomorrow! I need to talk to the church organist and remind him not to play that old hymn which everyone hates. We’ll be serving chili from Chile at the wedding reception; it’s guaranteed to warm everyone on a chilly day. We wanted to hire a live band but they got banned again! That’s ok …. their fee was much higher than a DJ’s. There’s no way I’m going to weigh myself before the big day. If my wedding dress is too tight, my skinny bitch of a cousin will say “You look like a freakin’ ewe!” If she will make a scene is yet to be seen. I better duck if I catch sight of her at the site. My maid of honor went behind my back and made her own dress. Boy, she sure did bawl like a baby when I told her she could wear her homemade ware anywhere but at my wedding and she better play ball or else! My Prince Charming and I will go on a honeymoon cruise on the high seas to the Isle of Capri where we’ll leave total body prints in the sand! I really won the prize with my guy; he’s one in a million! Tomorrow we will seize the day and live happily ever after!

What a fun and creative story! The play on names adds a light and very entertaining touch, and the narrative flows humorously from beginning to end. It’s a story full of energy and charming details that will make you smile as you read. Well done!
