Our inspiration word is “tempt”. I have
written a Mirror Cinquain, a 10-line,
single stanza poem with a syllable pattern
of 2 – 4 – 6 – 8 – 2 – 2 – 8 – 6 – 4 – 2.
I hear
in the dark night
whispers of temptation
lustful thoughts wriggle in my dreams
linger
longer
I walk the tightrope of desire
balanced on razor’s edge
take me, lead me
astray
