Acrostic, Poem

The Rockies: An Acrostic

Punam at RDP SATURDAY asks us to share a
story, poem, photo, painting, essay, etc.,
centered on the word ‘mountain
. Here’s my take.

Reaching high, so big and grand,
Old mountains in a silent land.
Clouds like cotton, soft and white,
Kind sunshine, golden light.
Yearning souls find peace up there,

Majestic peaks beyond compare.
Out where eagles soar and fly,
Underneath a boundless sky.
Nature’s giants, strong and tall,
Timeless beauty holds us all.
Awes us with their mighty grace,
Inspiring wonder in this place.
Near the stars, a peaceful rest,
Sleeping giants, truly blessed.

  1. Oh, I love it, and so wonderfully appropriate for me … I might add this to one of my recent travel poems … and thanks for sharing the fabulous song, Nancy 😊😍🎵🏔
