Here’s where the photo prompt took me.

It was a still night; the only light that pierced through the darkness was the eerie glow of the full moon reflecting off the ocean’s surface. A group of local Hampshire Bays fishermen had set out early that morning, hoping for a bountiful catch. As they cast their nets into the depths below, their boat suddenly lurched. Startled, they peered over the edge and were met with a chilling sight. There, floating gracefully in the murky sea, was a dark-haired woman in a blue blouse. The fishermen could hardly believe their eyes as they watched her drift aimlessly in the water, performing some sort of macabre ballet.
They scrambled to pull her aboard. The woman’s lifeless body felt cold and heavy in their arms as they laid her on the deck. The men exchanged worried glances, wondering how she had come to meet such a tragic fate. They recalled the tales of a dark-haired woman who had met a tragic end beneath the waves. Some said she was a lost soul searching for redemption, while others whispered of foul play and hidden secrets.
As they gazed down at her, a beam of light suddenly pierced through the water, illuminating her pale face. It was as if the moon itself had descended from the sky to cast its gaze upon the woman. One thing was certain …. the mystery of the woman in the blue blouse would haunt the town of Hampshire Bays for years to come.

This Nick Cave duet with Kylie Minogue, who sings the part described as having a “declaring diction” against Cave’s “sombre, Leonard Cohen-type mood”.

They are both very talented and certainly are opposites in every way. I find this video intriguing. Thanks, Jim.

I think it’s best they give her back to the sea and never speak of it to anyone….. Wonderful story 😄

Hmm. Now that could open up another story about the changing dynamic between these fishing buddies and how each one copes in the aftermath of this grim discovery. Thanks, Jodi.
