Written for Cinquain Poetry Prompt #10.
Our inspiration word is “treasure”.
Here’s where my thoughts went.

Sun spills
Gold and dusty
Across my window pane
Silence before the world awakes
Priceless

ah, Nancy, …firstly, such beautiful words you’ve written, .., ..& this song, Morning Has Broken, …makes my insides melt ,…& my eyes water, in response…(I sound quite a wreck don’t I…😉) … but I will recover my equilibrium, … clasp it to my bosom, … and depart, … hope your day has been a good one, … mine has been fantastic, …💙

It’s definitely that type of song, Penn. Did I ever mention that I had the thrill of meeting Cat Stevens back in 1973? Bill & I were at a big house party in the Hamptons and Cat was there as well. At one point I wandered into the library of the house and a minute later, Cat Stevens came in, too. We were the only people in the room and we talked for about 10 minutes about life. I never once said anything about him being a big popular singer nor did I ask for his autograph. Doing that would have broken the spell, you know? (And the whole time I was thinking how utterly gorgeous this man was!) It was 10 minutes of my life I’ll never forget and every time I hear one of his songs, I think of that day; I wonder if he remembers that girl in the library. Probably not.

You never know Nancy, he probably does, … I bet he was really grateful that you didn’t ask for his autograph, … or say you recognised him,… and thank you for sharing your wonderful moment,… I don’t think I’ve met anyone famous, … I’m wracking my brains here, (can you hear the noise, a creaking sound?)… but nope, come up with nothing, … so I’ll get a vicarious thrill, by knowing you, who met the lovely Cat Stevens,…💫🤗💙💫

It’s so funny, Penn. I’ve met a lot of famous people totally by accident or in passing. Once a month for three years of my teenage life I would see Steven Tallarico (Steven Tyler of Aerosmith) at family gatherings …. my parents and his favorite aunt & uncle were good friends …. and I’ve tried several times to reconnect with him but I think I’d have better luck calling the pope! Life is so funny and strange, you know, and everything happens for a reason. ♡

I believe so too, Nancy, …theres always a reason, whether or not you come realise it straight away, it’ll let you know, …💙

At this rate, it’ll soon be dawn. You’re my first ‘blog’ tonight … whoops, it’s midnight. From a terrible day with my computer troubles, to some positive outcomes, with the help of my “whiz-kid’ little brother, I think the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter … Hopefully the morning will be a good dawning of reinstalling and restoring … 💙🌏📘💻

Nice one, always. As I poured my cup of coffee this morning, I noticed how the morning rays cast a blue hue through the bottle of Dawn sitting on the windowsill.

Ooh, that must be pretty! I never thought of putting my dishwashing liquid on the window sill. Meanwhile, my DIL Dawn is upset because she thought this poem was going to be about her. 🤦🏼♀️

It’s also good for washing Ducks and Crows as well as BBQ grills. I use around my back yard.

I’ve see the commercials for the ducks caught in oil slicks, poor babies. It does a great job cleaning them up.
