Stop wasting time!

We are a society obsessed with money, power and material things. There are approximately 1.475 billion motor vehicles, over 2 billion computers and more than 18 billion cell phones in the world right now; imagine the size of that footprint!

Get out of the car, put down the phone and savor the time you have.

Time is the only truly scarce commodity.

Nancy’s Notes: When I showed up unprepared for my weekly organ lesson, my teacher asked me why I hadn’t practiced during the week. I was not a child and I didn’t try making up excuses. I told him the truth …. it had been an extremely busy week with family ‘stuff’ and appointments; “I just didn’t have the time.” He responded with a line I will never forget: “You have all there is!” Think about it …. but not too long.

    1. So easy to do, isn’t it, Penn? If we’re lucky, we will never forget. I needed a new prescription for a medication I’ve been taking for years and I couldn’t remember generic name, only the brand name …. and the generic is the one I’ve been taking all this time! Another braincell gone, never to return. 😳

Flip, Nancy, …we need an Alexa on our shoulders, …ready for any questions answered, ,..mind you, I take ages formulating a correct question, …otherwise she’s saying,…‘sorry , can’t help you with that” …I mean, …if I wanted to be told that, …I’d talk to my brain, …it’s always leaving me in the lurch, …💫

I got my car back today after 4 weeks, which chewed up most of holiday spending money (Damn) … my iPhone is 8 years-old and the battery is worn out … micro-soft keeps shutting down my computer … and I’ve never enough time to catch-up on all of my blogging … I’m not complaining … maybe it’s “Time” I redesigned the clock …

    Redesign the Clock

    OR, slow down time
    to my snail pace
    OR, give us retirees
    two extra hours a day
    OR, get off WP
    to write my manuscript
    OR, load me up with more adrenaline
    to handle life’s new designs

    1. No kidding! I was just thinking the same thing about how much time I spend on WP answering comments, leaving comments, reading other people’s blogs and writing my own! I hate not commenting; I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, you know, but that would sure save a lot of time. At this stage of my life, I need a new clock that goes very slowly! 🕕

    1. Every word of that conversation with my organ teacher is true. I’ll never forget when he said that to me; for the first few seconds, I didn’t get it. Then, when it registered, I thought “this is the most profound thing I’ve ever heard!” We really do have all the time there is …. the time allotted to us at birth by our creator …. and no two people have the same amount of time …. we should use it as best we can. ♡♥︎♡
