Written for Esther’s “Can You Tell A Story In…..?
#290” – exactly 45 words using the five required
prompts: ‘doodle’, ‘temper’, ‘gin’, ‘wart’, and ‘ruby’;
also for Fandango’s FOWC – ‘quest’ and Fandango’s
FOWC – ‘ young’. In exactly 45 words, this is my flash.

Ruby was a beautiful young woman except for a big wart on her forehead. Her temper flared whenever people teased. She’d doodle happy faces and flowers to distract herself. Now she’s on a quest to find shaman Gin Lee to rid her of this blight.

I had one on the end of my nose. A skin specialist had it tested for cancer. Four days later it was removed. Now I have a small hollow instead … so I wasn’t a warlock/witch after-all …

Poor Ruby, …but well done you, Nancy, …(I hope the Shaman find a cure, … I know it’s imaginary but, …😉).

I had warts on my hands when I was a freshman in High School which is much better than having one on the middle of your forehead, but still very embarrassing.

Embarrassing and uncomfortable. Our eldest son was prone to warts on his hands and no matter how often he was treated, they returned. One day the doctor decided to examine him hoping to find what he called the mother wart – freaky, right? Anyway, the doctor found a large wart on the bottom of our son’s foot which he removed and after that, he never got another wart again! That old doctor knew his stuff!

That is great and I am happy that worked out for your son. My mom got me Compound W, and the warts did go away, but then they came back and finally I went to a doctor that froze them, and they never returned.

Freezing is a great option, even if it does sting quite a bit.

Thanks so much, Esther! I’ve been having fun playing around with that AI app.

Nice job with this, Nancy. You squeezed Esther’s words plus two of my prompt words and had 38 words to spare!

Thanks ….. even if it took me a minute to figure out what the heck you were talking about!
