Written for Ovi Poetry Challenge #95.
This week’s inspiration word is
“understand”. Keeping with the year’s
theme of positivity, this is my Ovi.

Beyond where mortal shadows lie
And dreams are held by watchful eye
Where wisdom’s light ignites the sky
We envision
With every step our hearts expand
To comprehend and grasp by hand
Guiding the way through unknown land
We discern
The winds would speak with wisdom old
Their stories rich but yet untold
Of grace and inner courage bold
We balance
They whispered tales to those who’d hear
Of valor strong and hearts sincere
Those wondrous moments held so dear
We espouse
Night descends with quiet peace
To understand their tales with ease
Believe that dreams will never cease.
We are calm
In the heart of night, stars do gleam
Like watchful eyes that hold a dream
Trusting in all that’s yet unseen
We believe

Thank you, Laura! I’m not sure which came first …. the idea for the ovi or the song in my head! Either way, it’s a great song!

Merci, mon amie! Not that I ever need an excuse to play this song … but it doesn’t hurt!
