So gallant!
He said “so you don’t slip on wet leaves”.
We both know he just likes the feel of my hand in his.
I do, too.

  1. Momo and me hold hands, sometimes walking in the parking lot of HEB or when we are tooling around the historical Granbury Square. Young folks stare, blink and walk on. You would think we were doing the minga-minga there on the sidewalk. Tonight, she went with me to band practice at our church. I play in the praise band, it’s more like 60s rock than holy music, but it’s fun. I took both guitars. Without asking, she picked up one of them and carried if for me, same when we left. It was a gesture akin to holding hands. One day I will say something to the little wide-eyed wonders when they gasp in disbelief that old people touch. ” How do you think your parents got here, you little flake! And get off of my sidewalk, I’m walking here.”
