Ovi Poem

My Baby’s Baby: An Ovi

Written for Ovi Poetry Challenge #84.
This week’s inspiration word is
“open”. Keeping with the theme

of positivity, this is my Ovi.

My Youngest Granddaughter, Colette

She has that kind of face
One so full of grace
It lights up the whole place
She’s my heart

She knows just what to say
To chase my blues away
And brighten my grey day
She is joy

Her heart is like an open door
From which joy and goodness pour
She’s the one that I adore
My granddaughter

She’s my son’s little girl
For her the stars shine and twirl
She’s such a blessing in this world
I love her so
