Getting To Know Me

Written for Kymber Hawke’s Get To Know You #48
Here are her three question and my three answers.

  1. Notorious or unnoticed?

Truth be known, I was pretty notorious when I was young(er). 😳 Now that I’m at the ripe old age of “been there/done that”, 👵🏻 I prefer to remain unnoticed …. at least until I deem it appropriate or necessary to reveal myself. 😶‍🌫️ When that happens, stand back. There will be blood. 🩸

  1. Read thoughts or speak to animals?

Since I am an empath, I can at times read peoples minds. 🧠 They’re either as empty as a black hole 🕳️ with nothing but cobwebs and an occasional cricket chirp 🦗 or teeming with the most salacious thoughts imaginable. 😜 I already talk to my plants 🪴 and my cat 🐈‍⬛ and they’re far more interesting than many people. ☺️

3. Planning the future or living spontaneously?

When you’re closer to the end of the book than the beginning, 📖 it’s good to plan for the future .… if not mine then my kids and grandkids. 👫 But don’t worry; it’s not all doom and gloom! 😞 My mister and I still keep that spark of spontaneity burning. ⚡️ Why, just last night, instead of marshmallows, we put whipped cream in our hot chocolate. ☕️  It was damn tasty 👅 and a lot less sticky (and that’s not a euphemism so behave yourselves)!  😉

Nice of you to stop by and get to know me a little better. Thanks to Kymber for a fun prompt. See you soon! 😊

  1. We are certainly getting to know all about you!

I try to be unnoticed, I really do, but on virtually every holiday I’m the one picked on to make an improptu speech, sing or go through some kind of ceremony! It’s not fair!

  2. All right – now it’s my turn. I read this post and smiled all the way through. Then, I went back to reread and relay your bit about whipped cream being less sticky than marshmallow to my sweetheart. You understand your craft very well. 🙂

  3. Good on you.

I’ve talked with and to other living creatures. Even had desperate convo’s with my car, “Please get me to the next exit.” Most things I drop I’ll say, “Now look at you!”

I usually made it to the next exit with blessed ease. My friends in the forests and gardens were aware of my presence. I know, I leave it at that. The brick simply looked at me accusingly, as if it were the victim.

I try to be grateful for everything and I know (approximately) my place in the big web of life and the brew-up of shared cosmic chemical constituents.

  4. I think you’re right then when we get older, we tend to go more unnoticed. Notorious when you were younger, eh? LOL I feel like there is a story to tell there. 😀

I agree that plants and animals can be more interesting than people.

I’m glad that it’s not all doom and gloom, and that you keep the spark alive!

Thank you so much for playing! Happy Weekend!
