where the theme is “chicken or egg”. Here’s my stream.

The closest living relative to T Rex is … you guessed it … the chicken! So what does that tell us? Well, it’s obvious that neither the chicken nor the egg came first. The dinosaur came first!

Allow me to play devil’s advocate for a minute. Let’s say everything we read in the Bible is true, that God created all the animals in the sky, the sea and on the land. Since this all happened eons ago, we would then have to agree that God created the dinosaurs. The Book of Genesis doesn’t say anything about creating eggs but it certainly talks about the “beasts of the land”.

T Rex and friends stomped the earth, laying their eggs for however long they were here before an asteroid hit them. One theory is that some of those eggs survived and produced what has now evolved into the mighty chicken.

So there you have it, kids. No need to Google or go to the library or petition the Pope for his ex-cathedra decree. Thump on, you proud Bible-thumping, Chick-fil-A-eating, religious zealots. I do believe we have a winner. One might even say “Winner, winner, chicken dinner!”

    So the chicken 🐔 🤣 Oh you’re better than Google.
    As for me I come without a funny bone. So I trice love human jesters who make me laugh. This was funny. Thanks.

    1. Oh, you are so sweet but I refuse to believe you don’t have a sense of humor. When you live in a house with a husband and only sons (as you and I both did), you develop a sense of humor pretty fast; it’s one of your survival skills!

    1. If your day needed a roast chicken with the head of a dinosaur, then I’m thrilled to know my story fit the bill! 😂

      This was great fun to write and I knew from the beginning Bang A Gong was the only song I could go with.

                    1. Nope! I’ve never heard of them but when I saw Robbie Williams I figured they’d been around for quite a while. I was reading that the group has had difficulty breaking into the American market so I guess that explains it. They really put on quite a show, don’t they? ♡❤︎♡

      I sent this to my 13 yr old grandson; he called me after reading it. Our conversation went like this:
      Lucan: Grammy, why did the turkey cross the road?
      Me: I don’t know Luc. Why?
      Lucan: To prove he wasn’t chicken.

      1. It’s odd how that happens, as we’ve discussed before. Glad you liked it, even if the band had to change the song’s title to avoid a clash with someone I’ve never heard of!
