For Jim

Sudden
Dreams in the night
Undone
Weeping
A pain too deep
Creeping
Broken
No goodbye words
Spoken

It’s a great loss, so unexpected and so very sad. We are being very kind and gentle with each other right now; with the love and comfort of friends, we will be ok.
Thank you, Sweets. 🩶 🕊️

This is when we are glad we are writers because we can express our pain and let it out. I truly believe it is one of the best ways to heal. Saved me from losing my mind 🙂 Hugs.

You’re so right, Dale! As I mentioned to Vee, I’m not consciously thinking about it; the words seem to find me at times like this. It’s good to be writing again; I need this outlet. I read my work to Bill and we cry, talk and laugh. It’s a healing process for which I am endlessly grateful.
Hugs received and reciprocated, my friend. 🫶🏼

Nothing works just fine for me, Destiny; I’m happy with a heart or a rose …. anything to show you care. But I already knew that.
Thank you. ❤︎

Thank you for your kind words and for the introduction to Kate. I knew once I heard her song I would be including it somehow; this felt right.
I sent the song to my sister-in-law, Jim’s widow; she cried and cried and sent me ten kisses.
Thanks, dear Clive. ♡

It feels very right! And it’s lovely that you shared it and it got that reaction too. Music has that effect, doesn’t it 😊

Oh, yes it does! Where would we be without music? 🎶

Gosh Nancy–you write grief so well, beautifully sad–or sadly beautiful.

It isn’t something I’m consciously thinking about, Vee; grief seems to be a new constant in my life, at least for the moment, and my thoughts come freely.
Thank you for your friendship. ♡

One thing about grief is that it can lie beneath the surface…and you don’t think about it consciously…till suddenly it hits you like a tsunami. You’re most welcome, Nancy–now and then folks in blogging make deep connections, enriching one anothers lives.💙
