Welcome to Birthday Thursdays! Each week I will feature someone from the world of music whose birthday falls on this day. There won’t be any chit chat from me, no facts and figures – just some great tunes (and an occasional surprise). Check it out right here every Thursday and enjoy the music.

I have to admit, I’d never heard of him – until now! Nice to hear some songs I was unaware of.

There are a lot of great songs by Eddie Money. Nice post and one for the Money. Hey, August 1 is on a Thursday this year, so you can do a birthday post for Jerry Garcia.

Thanks for the tip, Jim. I haven’t planned that far ahead yet. It will be interesting to see who else has a b’day on Aug 1.

“Ramblin’ Jack” Elliott, Tim Bachman, Coolio, and Dhani Harrison, which is who I guess you will go with.

He has achieved the square root of diddly squat over here. He sounds like loads of others who have had UK success, so I guess that’s down to his record company letting him down.

Which is often the case with record companies.
Your first sentence gave me a good laugh! Thanks for that, Clive.

A phrase I like to use! Record companies think they know best but I’m sure he’d have done well here if they’d put some money and effort behind him.
