“Good morning, Sunshine! Did you notice the wildflowers? It’s like they sprang up overnight. Itās awfully stuffy in here, don’t you think, Charlie? I’ll open the window a crack for some air if you promise to behave. One little yell from you and Iāll be forced to put your gag back in. Do you want that, Charlie? Ah, that’s a lovely breeze, isnāt it. Oh, now Charlie! You really shouldn’t have hollered like that! Just when I was gonna untie you. Why can’t you follow orders? That makes me angry. You remember what happens when Iām angry, donāt you, Charlie?”

I’ve had almost this exact monologue, except in a very different context. I often threaten to muzzle Charlie when she barks, but we don’t even have a muzzle. Yours is much more sinister.

Charlie might remember, but I don’t want to know! I’m guessing Charlie’s day isn’t going to get any better.

And you’d be correct.

LOL! Reminds me of the movie, “Misery.” Poor Charlie better get with the program.

IKR! Never saw the movie but I read the book ages ago.
Charlie’s definitely had better days lol!

True confession: I’ve never had the courage to read a Stephen King book. The movies are scary enough to know I’d be doomed to read the novels the movies are adapted from.

I’m the other way around! I cover my eyes watching half the movies we put on! With a book, it’s all your imagination; with a movie, it’s all right there!

Let’s just say I have a very vivid imagination that often works overtime.

Oh dear… this has the markings of a “Misery” story. Wondering if Charlie also wrote the wrong ending to a story š Nicely done, Nancy! You are rather wicked!!

Thanks, Dale! Something tells me you like ‘wicked’.
It’s great fun writing stories like this, isn’t it? š

Charlie can’t run, being tied to a bed and all.
As my friend, Clive, said: Tom takes the edge off!

My first comment didn’t show. And maybe neither will this one. But this sounded like a sinister monologue and Charlie may be in a spot of bother here.

Bothersome WP but you’re here now, Sandra. Thank you!
I can’t recall doing a monologue before and thought it would be a bit of fun. This is where it took me.
I do believe you are correct about Charlie; it’s not going to be a good day.
